Globally\, about 6 billion people are expected to live in cities by 2050. Questions about how megacities become more sustainable while dealing with climate change and population growth are urgent and important. \nOn September 12\, 2018 in San Francisco\, experts in energy\, environmental science\, law and urban planning will address the challenges of creating sustainable and resilient megacities through innovative science\, technology and law and policy solutions\, drawing lessons from UCLA’s Sustainable LA Grand Challenge that can be applied around the world\, and asking what lessons we can draw from other cities’ experiences. \nEvent is free and open to the public and will include a reception.  \nSeating is limited and advance registration is required.
