SUMMARY:Student Leadership Institute for Climate Resilience (SLICR)
DESCRIPTION:The Student Leadership Institute for Climate Resilience (SLICR) at UCLA is a weekend-long program that provides undergraduate and graduate students with the opportunity to expand upon their knowledge of environmental\, social\, and economic sustainability and provide them with the knowledge and skills to turn their passions into action. SLICR is designed to enable students to understand basic and complex concepts of sustainability and community resilience\, support their identity exploration and development\, and learn how to engage in leadership for positive social change. This year\, SLICR will be a virtual program! \nThis program is centered around building community and finding support from your fellow peers. You will be placed in small groups facilitated by student coordinators trained to deliver this content and to support you throughout the weekend. Our planning team is focused on being able to provide a critical learning experience while simultaneously having fun. We are really excited to welcome you to this year’s cohort! \nInterested in applying? Fill out the application form\, linked here. \nSubmissions are due Monday\, April 5th by 11:59 PM PST.
