DESCRIPTION:LEED for Cities and Communities (LfC) rating system was launched in December 2016. More than 240 city and community projects are registered and 126 have been certified\, improving sustainability and quality of life of more than 65 million people across 18 countries! USGBC has established LEED for Communities rating system to help leaders plan\, design\, develop\, operate\, manage\, measure and improve our communities\, to offer higher sustainability and quality of life to all and bring a new level of leadership to communities around the world. Now\, from buildings to communities and to cities\, LEED spaces transform lives and raising the standard of living for all using the built environment! \nCertified projects include cities like Washington DC\, Denver/CO\, Chicago/IL\, Savona/Italy\, Dubai/UAE\, Surat/India\, Hoboken/NJ\, San Pedro/Mexico\, Lancaster/PA\, Miami/FL\, Baltimore/MD\, Albuquerque/NM\, Newark/NJ or San Jose/CA and communities like Golden Triangle Business Improvement District\, Reston Town Center\, Atlanta International Airport\, Beijing-Daxing International Airport Economic Development Zone\, King Salman Energy Park. Any type of city\, county\, village\, community\, district or neighborhood – whether existing\, new or redeveloping – anywhere in the world\, can certify to LEED! USGBC has recently launched the LfC Advisor Certificate to train professionals on the LEED for Cities and Communities Rating System. By going through a rigorous training these professionals would understand the rating system’s requirements and help projects achieve certification. LfC Advisors would have a keen understanding of the most current urban practices and demonstrate a clear commitment to professional growth in advancing LEED for Cities and Communities values. \nJoin us on September 10\, 2021 for the first-of-its-kind opportunity to understand LEED for Cities and Communities (LfC) certification process and move closer towards earning LfC Advisor Certificate!
