SUMMARY:Landscape Architecture and the Science of Climate Change
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Landscape Architecture at Cal Poly Pomona hosts a series of monthly presentations on the science of climate change and landscape architecture solutions. \nJoin the event during your lunch break. The panel will feature advocates working to address the impacts of oil and gas extraction. Topics will include recent Los Angeles County efforts to begin phasing out existing wells and banning new wells under County jurisdiction\, state-level efforts to create setbacks from drill sites and reform oil and gas regulations\, and the local and state-level environmental justice campaigns leading these efforts.
