SUMMARY:Fall 2024 Economic Outlook: Climate Adaptation
DESCRIPTION:The economy keeps churning along but so does climate change. These two forces are important for future economic growth\, consumption and investment growth. Rosanna Xia\, an environmental reporter at the Los Angeles Times\, will introduce her award-winning book on sea level rise\, California Against the Sea\, and share insights that she has gathered in the course of her reporting. She will also reflect on the critical roles that economists\, researchers\, and financial institutions could play in deepening these much-needed conversations on climate adaptation. \nThe Fall 2024 Economic Outlook will be presented in collaboration with UCLA Center for Impact. \nAttendance is limited. Online registration closes at 12 pm\, 10/1/2024. \nREGISTER FOR IN-PERSON OR ENHANCED WEBINAR (ZOOM WITH Q&A) HERE \nREGISTER FOR LIMITED WEBINAR (YOUTUBE VIEWING ACCESS ONLY) HERE
