DESCRIPTION:How to take climate action during the era of the Green New Deal\, Environmental Activism\, and Social Media \nWe are in the midst of a climate emergency. From extreme heat waves to persistent droughts and relentless wildfires\, our region is facing firsthand the consequences of climate change. In response to the mounting crisis\, the city of Los Angeles released a sweeping sustainability plan–known as the L.A. Green New Deal in April 2019. This city-wide initiative is designed to lead Los Angeles towards a low-carbon\, green-energy future by 2050. \nHowever\, these goals are unattainable without support from the L.A. community– especially from our generation.
