SUMMARY:Transportation Electrification Partnership Summit
DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss LACI’s annual Transportation Electrification Partnership (TEP) Summit. With just four years until the Olympic and Paralympic Games come to Los Angeles\, the pressure is on to achieve our TEP goals. \nThe Games present an incredible opportunity to demonstrate leadership on the world stage while accelerating progress toward a more sustainable region that serves all Angelenos. \nDuring the 2024 TEP Summit\, regional leaders will discuss how to capitalize on the momentum from Paris and ensure the 2028 Games are a catalyst for equitable climate action for Los Angeles and beyond. Other topics include: \n\nWhy have LACI and the Transportation Electrification Partnership tied ambitious regional transportation electrification targets to the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games?\nHow can we put forth a bold idea of how to get more electric buses manufactured in the US to lower costs and funding to bring them—along with charging\, bike lanes\, and shared mobility—to LA for the Games\, and after distribute them to transit agencies nationally?\nWhat can Greater LA do to show the world a model for zero emissions mobility and goods movement?\n\nPast Summits have drawn hundreds of attendees from more than a dozen countries\, with influential speakers including: U.S. Congress Members Tom Carper\, Nanette Barragán\, Peter De Fazio\, and Mike Levin; Principal Deputy Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy\, US Department of Energy\, Kelly Speakes-Backman; CARB Chair Liane Randolph; former CARB Chair Mary Nichols; CEC Commissioner Patty Monahan; Former LA Mayor Eric Garcetti\, and former LA Metro Chair and Biden Transportation Team Lead\, Phil Washington. \nJoin in person on December 5! \nREGISTER HERE
