826LA@Hammer: Collaging for Mother Earth

January 12, 2025 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free collaborative workshops, presented with 826LA, combine writing with creative activities for groups of up to 20 students.

Recommended for ages 8–14.

A lot of people know how important it is for the environment to recycle and reuse art materials, but not everyone knows how much fun it is! In this workshop, students will learn what it means to be an eco-surrealist. They will expand their creativity by gluing magazine cut outs and found objects to a surface in order to create their very own metaphorical self portrait. Led by artist Morgan Moto.
