California Climate Action Summit

The climate catastrophes we saw in 2020 have made one thing clear: We must speed up our action on climate solutions.
California has always been a national clean energy leader and a champion of environmental progress and now our nation needs that leadership more than ever.
Join us for a day of action on climate. CALPIRG Students and partners are hosting the California Climate Action Summit, a statewide event to bring together hundreds of student activists, climate experts, and policy leaders for a day of advocacy workshops, themed panels, and discussions on climate solutions and clean energy. You can join any or all events during this day of action!
Event Schedule:
10am: Climate Action Summit Kickoff and Press Conference
11am: Action Hour: Voices for 100% Social Media Event
12pm: Youth Voices: Youth Voices: Climate Activism Panel
1pm: Bending the Curve: Expert Panel on Climate Solutions
2pm: Climate Advocacy Workshop: Working with the Media and Writing Letters to the Editor
3pm: Clean Energy: What does a 100% Future Look Like?
Some speakers at the event will include Mark Jacobson (Stanford University), Margaret Leinen (Scripps Institution of Oceanography), Asm. Cottie Petrie Norris, Fonna Forman (UC San Diego), a message from Sonia Aggarwal of the White House Domestic Climate Policy team, and more!
