How to Make Your Job a Climate Job
January 24, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
We need millions of people working on climate to address the demands of the climate crisis.
In the next ten years, we can expect 100 million people to transition their careers to climate.
Getting a climate job is one of the most tangible climate actions an individual can make; it’s 40+ hours a week that you’re funneling into concrete climate actions.
However, there is a significant disconnect between available roles and job seekers on the market. There tends to be a more straightforward path with an influx of full-time climate jobs for hard engineering, scientific, and software professionals. In contrast, it can be more difficult for those in non-technical fields to transition their careers to climate.
This upcoming webinar will provide resources and guidance for:
Job seekers who are currently employed and looking to make an impact in their current role while they outline their path to a full-time climate position.
Those who are happily employed and not looking to transition their careers to climate fully but want to find ways to make a direct climate impact.
The Climate People team has gathered experts from Project Drawdown, Climate Club, LinkedIn, and Browngirl Green to discuss how you can rework your current role to focus more on climate solutions.
Hear from:
Aiyana Bodi, a Senior Associate at Drawdown Labs
Adam Braun, the Co-Founder and CEO of Climate Club
Ben Lai, a Senior Software Developer and Lead of an Employee Green Team at LinkedIn
Kristy Drutman, Co-Founder of Browngirl Green
