Drawing from his extensive expertise working with leaders across sectors, Michiel will discuss the complexities of systemic change, its elements, and actionable strategies for creating lasting impacts.
Michiel’s talk will be followed by a conversation with Pete Angelis, Associate Vice Chancellor, UCLA Housing & Hospitality; Paula Daniels, Executive Director, Los Angeles County Office of Food Systems; and Mary Sue Milliken, James Beard and Julia Child Award-winning Chef and Co-owner of Mundo Hospitality Group. Pete, Paula,and Mary Sue will share their strategies as changemakers. The conversation will be moderated by UCLA’s Dr. Amy Rowat, the Marcie H. Rothman Presidential Chair, Professor of Integrative Biology and Physiology, and Faculty Director of the Rothman Family Institute for Food Studies; with remarks by Jack Bobo, Executive Director, UCLA Rothman Family Institute for Food Studies.
