**CANCELLED** – Synthesis for Policy in Amazonia: A Participatory Approach to Tackling Threats to Biodiversity

In light of safety concerns arising from recent campus events the event scheduled for May 10th between the Center for Brazilian Studies and CTR is cancelled “Synthesis for Policy: A Participatory Approach to Tackling Threats to Biodiversity.”
Evidence-informed solutions are urgently needed to tackle the climate and biodiversity crises – the 21st-century’s most significant challenges. Multiple stressors threaten Amazonia’s socio-ecological importance, highlighting the need for coordinated efforts to mitigate these threats. Effective engagement with policy, decision-makers, non-governmental organizations and local communities can improve research development and conservation planning success. This presentation analyzes stakeholder-based solutions to the main threats to Amazonian biodiversity.
