Order Farm Fresh Produce for Delivery at the UCLA Law School
The Food Law Society is pleased to announce the beginning of CSA (community supported agriculture) box delivery at the law school. The South Central Farmers will deliver fresh, seasonal, organic produce from their farm in Bakersfield every Wednesday. Order ASAP to help us get a reliable estimate!
What is in a CSA box?
Local, organic, seasonal fruits and veggies.
Read what has been included in recent boxes.
We encourage participants to sign up for a monthly subscription because it takes about four to six weeks of getting a box to get into the rhythm of using all the veggies. There is also an email and blog with suggestions for how to use your produce.
When will the deliveries be?
Subject to sufficient orders, our first pick up will be Wednesday, September 25th between 3pm and 5:30pm.
Orders must be placed by 5pm Monday, Sept. 23rd. Deliveries will follow the same schedule in following weeks: order by 5pm Monday for 3pm Wednesday delivery.
How much does it cost?
The student price is $17 for a full size box. Faculty, staff, and other participants without a valid student ID pay $20-$25 per box for a Full Box and $15-$19 per box for a Mini Box.
To receive the student price, send a copy of your student ID to csa@southcentralfarmers.com or fax to 800-249-5240 before you order.
How do I order?
In order to begin delivery to the UCLA School of Law, we would like to have at least 10 boxes ordered for the initial drop. To make your order, visit our website (you will need a PayPal account). Our pickup location is labeled “Wednesday, UCLA School of Law.” Participants can request in the comments section (on the last page, right before you pay) to receive their box every other week.
