Integrated Pest Management (IPM)

Landscape by Kerckhoff Hall

UCLA is developing an updated Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Plan (will be completed September 2025), based on the new UC Integrated Pest Management Policy. UCLA’s IPM program is overseen by an IPM Committee (see membership at bottom). Questions should be directed to the UCLA IPM Coordinator: Nurit Katz, Chief Sustainability Officer. A student team through the IoES Sustainability Action Research program supported the IPM committee with research and recommendations (Final Report PDF). The students also created the fliers below with support from staff.

If you have an active pest issue please report it to Facilities Management through the UCLA 311 app.

Below are fliers you can share with your department to help prevent and manage pests.

UCLA transitioned away from pesticide and herbicide use on campus landscape and recently became the first campus in California to achieve a Gold level Green Grounds Certification from ReWild Your Campus for these efforts.
